Letter to Mid Michigan Chapter

A note to Mid-Michigan Chapter Members

Join us on March 12 at Kellogg Center for a PDM "How to Stay Positive in a Tough Work Environment" (see all the details here)

Mid-Michigan APICS is mounting an effort to revitalize the Chapter and the activities that the membership needs and requires.  We have been noticeably quiet for some time and it is recognized that we need to devote our resources, once again, to developing our Chapter into a recognized performer.  We’ve got some work to do and need your assistance and input.

Most importantly we need to meet as a group in January to update you on our intentions for the remainder of  the 2008/2009 term which ends in June of 2009.  Then going forward into 2009/2010 we need your input regarding what type of Professional Development Meetings you would like us to host ?  Also, what educational needs are required ?  Your Board is ready to listen to your suggestions!

Just as important, your current Board consists of five members; myself as President, Mike Foley as Past President, Sue Woodward as Treasurer ,  Jennifer Baker as Secretary and Jim Bloomfield as Director of Communications.  We surely need a few more members to volunteer to fill Director positions which would enhance our Training and Membership efforts.  In addition, anyone that could volunteer to assist a Board member with any aspect of operating the Mid-Michigan Chapter would be very much appreciated.  If anyone in the membership has the talent to spruce up and maintain our chapter website, we’d like to hear from you.  You can visit out Chapter Website at www.apics-mdmi.org or the APICS Website at  www.apics.org

Your Board looks forward to seeing you in March and most importantly to listening to your needs, suggestions and concerns.

On behalf of the Mid-Michigan Board of Directors

 Regards,

John M. Drzik
